TURN STONE INTO GOLD
As the New Year approaches, we based our design concept on “Turning Stone into Gold,” inspired by the traditional custom of distributing "red envelopes" (利是封) during the Chinese New Year in Guangdong Province. While many are creating blessings in the form of dragons for the Year of the Dragon, we took a completely different approach. Our perspective has never been fixed on any popular trend. Instead, we began with an observation of life and believe that what we truly need in the coming year is not the fierce, virtual imagery often seen in popular designs, but rather the steadfastness symbolized by stones.
在临近新年之际，我们以“点石为金”作为概念，中国广东省地区过年派发“利是封”的习俗出发，创作了这款红包系列设计。在人人都在以龙年作为形式为祝福创作之时，我们却采取的是截然不同的形式，因为我们的视角从来不会固定在任何流行的趋势当中，我们从观察生活出发，相信代表坚韧不拔的石景是我们新的一年真正所需的，而不是张牙舞爪、虚无缥缈的虚拟形象。
